Your First Visit

We’re so glad you’ve chosen Central Florida Retina for your care. Our team is here to make your first visit as comfortable and stress-free as possible. Here’s what you can expect:
Setting Up Your Appointment
Whether you were referred by your eye doctor or found us on your own, we’re happy to help you schedule an appointment at the location most convenient for you.
Getting Ready
Once your appointment is scheduled, we’ll provide you with a new patient packet that includes forms to complete ahead of time. You can also download them from our website and bring them with you.
What to Bring
- Completed forms (if not submitted in advance)
- Insurance card and photo ID
- A list of any current medications
- Questions or concerns you’d like to discuss with the doctor
- A driver, since your eyes will be dilated and your vision may be blurry afterward
During Your Visit
Plan to spend up to two hours with us. During this time:
- Our friendly clinical team will check your vision and review your medical history
- We’ll gently dilate your pupils and perform advanced imaging to get a clear view of your retina
- You’ll meet with one of our highly trained retina specialists for a thorough exam
- If needed, any additional testing can usually be done during the same visit
We know visiting a new doctor can feel overwhelming, but our team is here to guide you every step of the way. If you have questions before your appointment, just give us a call—we’re here to help.
