Originally from Miami, Florida, Dr. Gonzalo Ortiz earned his medical degree and master’s in medical sciences from the University of South Florida, after completing his undergraduate studies at Florida State University. He later completed his vitreoretinal surgery fellowship in New Orleans.

Passionate about restoring and preserving vision, Dr. Ortiz chose ophthalmology for its impact on patients’ quality of life. In his free time, he enjoys traveling with his family, playing basketball, and cheering on the Miami Heat and Orlando City SC.
